eVolo Skyscrapers
Two proposals for eVolo 2012 Skyscrapers competition

Atom is a name of new type of future skyscrapers, the very form of which allows to produce energy.
The shape of a skyscraper determined with mathematical formula. The form of the skyscraper is the differential surface. In mathematics, a minimal surface is a surface with a mean curvature of zero.
Skyscraper surface has minimal area. These include, but are not limited to, surfaces of minimum area subject to various constraints. Skyscraper shapes are similar to a mushroom cloud.

This  is a distinctive pyrocumulus mushroom - shaped cloud as of condensed water vapor or debris resulting from a very large explosion. In the near future, nuclear energy will become much more safe, skyscrapers will be working on nuclear energy, which will be generated  by its own. Mushroom cloud will be associated with security, prosperity and well-being.

Riverscrapers

The density of development in the centres of major cities in the world has reached its maximum.
No vacant lots for further development remains. Water areas in the future megacities are the only place to build. Skyscrapers will be built right on the water. Rivers from time immemorial were built up - floating houses, landing stages, bridges with houses. In the near future we can expect expansion of houseboats on a new scale. Static Rivercrapers - it's air-cushion landing-stages which have no foundation, but that can stay afloat. Rivercrapers will appear on the riverbanks of the largest cities.
Bionic shapes, green areas and water proximity to water will create an atmosphere of natural harmony.
Traveling Riverscrapers like giant cruise liners will run between coolest cities around the world.
It's boring to live in one city all the time. In the near future more people will work as freelancers. Freelancers do not need to live in one place. These people would prefer to live in traveling skyscrapers.
Riverscrapers is the future solution for high density areas in megacities.
